Was planning to hit a couple of runs on Saturday but because my buddy was 2.5 hours late getting to my house I was only able to hit Sandstone Canyon.

Left around 1230 got to the trail head around 3. Super hot around 95. I don't know how I made it through some of the obstacles without getting body damage. I wouldn't do this trail unless you have sliders. When coming back trough the gate keeper there was a brand new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro that scraped his passenger rear door.

We use the primitive campsite on the entrance to fish Creek which was pretty cool they had bathrooms and fire pits.

Here are some videos and a link for more info.

Looks like you guys had a good trip. Pics and video are great.

It was a fun trip. I think I got a little lucky after seeing the damage the Tacoma took. Sorry my buddy is a dbag and got trashed the night before otherwise we could have went with you guys also.

No apologies needed, things happen beyond ones control. You had fun and took pics to share. Heck we didn't even take any. Was the campground crowded or did the heat thin things out?

There was only one fire ring spot left when we got there. But there were man made fire pits around that were empty.

Changing gears how did the new ties perform? I'm still in the market.

Really good. It seems like they also smoothed out a little as I have put some miles on them. I was rubbing like crazy on the front inner fender plastic so I will have to trim a little more.

A friend of mine was there on Saturday and banged up his land rover after some bad spotting at the first tight location, said it was over 100 during the day. He waived him off on all the rest of the locations and had no damage. He was with a snooty rover group in an old white disco rover he bought for $800 and put $1200 bucks into. One guy went through in a 2018 LR3 or 4 with every bolt on accessory available from the expedition crowd, and luckily had no damage.

Oh yeah I passed those guys going in. I think I got them on the GoPro.

Was this them?

That's him.

He wanted me to go, but as usual I was busy. I got some dirt on him and can now claim he is the infamous sole rig that got damage and should of had a cruiser and would have had no problem. Although he wouldn't care since he built it to use and doesn't care about damage.
