Description
Super clean California vehicle. No rust, no accidents. First owner (also from Bay Area) had it from new through 2017 and took absolutely perfect care of the vehicle. All scheduled maintenance performed and always garage kept. I’m the second owner and, as a car enthusiast, I have taken equally excellent care of the vehicle. Interior and exterior are in very good condition (people can’t believe it’s an ’08). Over $6,000 in offroad and interior upgrades, all detailed below. Top of the line "Limited” trim model, including leather, heated/power seats, lighted running boards, rear spoiler, and 18 inch alloy wheels.
The Old Man Emu suspension upgrade performs incredibly well, on road and off. I was very impressed with the performance. The SPC upper control arms allow increased articulation, as well as perfect alignment to be dialed in. The BFG KO2 tires are quiet on the road and perform well off-road, in rain, and in snow.
The other key upgrade is the Sony XAV-AV1000 receiver. Professionally installed, including the RadioPRO 4.2TY11 interface that connects the steering wheel control buttons, which all work perfectly (volume up/down, track up/down, and mode). The AV1000 features Apple CarPlay, allowing you to do Apple or Google Maps navigation and all other CarPlay-enabled apps.
This is a turnkey off-road and daily driver, ready for many more years of reliable service. Only one thing that is not 100% is the moonroof gasket. It started leaking, so I sealed it closed (using RTV silicone sealant) since we didn't use it often. Easy to replace if you would like to.
Maintenance performed earlier this month includes: oil/filter change, cabin air filter, engine air filter, and propeller shaft lubrication. Fully detailed inside and out. Undercarriage will be professionally steam cleaned in a few days, and I'll add some pics of the undercarriage.
We’ve had lots of great family memories with this truck: camping trips, ski trips, dirt roads, etc. Hoping the vehicle goes to someone who will enjoy it as much as we did.
