San Gabriel River this weekend

Hey guys, thought I'd throw it out there if anyone's looking for a reason to get out. I'm going to head out to the SGR this weekend for a little fishing, havent figured out which day yet. Havent gotten the flys wet in a long time, so I'm overdue. Not sure I'll be wheeling at all, but its a nice drive up there and its supposed to be a beaut of a weekend.

Bummer that the Rincon-Shortcut OHV is closed. I was thinking I'd get the permit and drive that on the way back home. Not very exciting, but nice views.

Yeah, I called yesterday to see if I could get the gate combos for this weekend, and they said as of 2/5/8, the Rincon OHV was "closed until further notice."

I only got the recording, but same thing. No reason, just closed until further notice. Gotta love that one.

Awesome. I got 17 mpg over 112 miles up there and back after changing out the plugs and cap/rotor yesterday. Thats the best mileage I've gotten so far... by far
