Subject: PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL
Importance: High

Let me tell all of you what happened to my sister and her husband on Monday
evening on Northside Dr. (ya just never know).

They had a seminar to go to at St. Richards Catholic School on Monday night
for their son Nicholas (their children were not with them, Thank God). They
were leaving the school at about 7:30 pm, and were headed toward the
interstate on Northside Dr. to go home, they live in Ridgeland. It was
raining pretty hard, they were almost to that Shell Gas station on the
corner when they heard a BIG LOUD BOOM, and the back window on the passenger
side came crashing in... M wanted to stop, but My sister said DO NOT
stop, it sounded like a gun shot, so they drove all the way home scared to
death! When they got home and got out they found a BIG RED BRICK in the back
seat. They called the cops to make a report, and the cops said that this is
happening a lot in Jackson, and whomever is doing it is hoping to get the
victims to stop, so they can rob or carjack them at gunpoint.. They are so
thankful that their children were not with them, cause it may have hit one
of them..

So please just be careful wherever you go!

Jack town!!! Oh well????

This is proof of what I was talking to Nolen about in his thread about hunting some sheet metal.
I expect something like that to happen around Bailey Ave. or Valley Street but man thats gettin alittle to close to the places Debbie and I tend to roam.

No kidding. Jackson is just going to hell. I don't scare easily, but that is probably because I stay away from Jackson. Where is Wyatt Erp when you need him?

There aren't many big towns where some of this doesn’t happen. Jackson isn't that big of a town, but it is still the capital city.

I still feel safe living in Jackson. It takes some wisdom, like locking your doors or not stopping when someone throws a brick through your window, but I think it is still relatively safe.

35's and they will have to throw the brick higher.

I also think it would help if more folks shot back. ;)

The brick came from the Hallmark Garden Apts, most likely. Driving by them about a week ago, a group of guys hurled something at my cruiser. I pulled over at the Exxon, and a lady pulled in behind me...she had been hit too. Luckly, no damage. I flagged down a cop, told him exactly where the guys were and he said he would "look into it".

BTW, I'm new here. Bought a '89 FJ62 from a great cruiserhead, and have been loving it (esp. after slapping on a new starter!). Still haven't baptized her at the river...

Tim, you should do like a friend of ours in Atlanta who used to drive an FJ62. Someone shot out his rear passenger side cargo window, so he slamed on the brakes and turned around. He chased them through the courtyard of an apartment building and even drove over a chain link fence IIRC.

Bid dumb truck = 10' tall and almost bullet proof, right?

He works till 10:00 PM on Tuesday's. How about later in the week? I can't do it Thursday night.

I could probably do that. Good and dark at 6:30, though.

Saturday would be much better for me...today/tomorrow is out.

I'll be at work on Sat till 6:15. Call me if I need to come get you unstuck!

I'll be in Starkville on saturday celebrating the big three ohhhhhh.

Glad to hear you are happy with the 62! Euclid told me about the starter - really sorry about that. I had no way of knowing that it might give you any trouble. Hope you enjoy the heck out of it - I miss it already:frown:

Not a problem...starters come and go...

I definitely am enjoying the heck outta her.

I can come down after work today- call me if you guys go. I am IN TOWN!!!

Heard about this gas station on Ellis Ave. today, then somebody emailed me the picture.
