I'm sorry to report that LSLC lost a good friend, one whom we were so very dear to.
Joyce Chavez passed away earlier today.
Joyce was the founder and driving force behind Haven House, and Compass Ministries, over the years LSLC was the largest single contributor to the efforts to provide a happy Christmas to needy children of Fannin County.
Those of you that were present each year when we made our donation know, she was real and the gratitude was real.
She loved all of us so very much.
