Hello All...

Please mark September 25th on your calendar and plan to attend the Rubicon Clean Up ... on the Rubicon Trail!

This year, Kevin Carey, President of POR, has help from both FOTR and TLCA but this alone is not enough. We need you to be there and volunteer to help with this effort. We need you to get your hands dirty and support this trail.

You can register to attend by visiting:
http://www.delalbright.com/Forms/ru...form_sep25.html

But hold on, there is more!

We also need raffle prizes to reward those who participate. We need raffle donations from everyone including businesses, shops, associations and individuals such as yourself. We cannot think of any more important cause to support than the Rubicon Clean Up effort and we hope you feel that way too. Please donate a raffle prize and help us ensure a successful clean up!
All proceeds from this event will be given to FOTR who work to ensure our continued access to this and many other trails in CA.

Raffle donations can be made to Jeff Fretwell, Kevin Carey, or Del Albright. Shipping address to be provided soon (right here).

Here is your opportunity to show how much you care about this world famous trail... whether you can attend or not, help us by providing a raffle prize!

on behalf of POR, FOTR and TLCA, thank you very much for your support!

Link doesn't work?????

To bad it lands on the same day as Cruisin in the Woods. It's a tough choice but an easy one at the same time. The Rubicon needs positive attention these days. I will try to make it even with work that night. Doh!

Well, I've got a canoe trip planned down the Colorado River near Havasu City with the scouts. Lots of little scouts this year. Pray for no headwinds. I think I'd rather camp myself and help clean up a mess I didn't create.

Hope you get a good turnout. Need to post the Outdoor code for all the jackasses that leave trash and human waste in an improper cathole or none at all!

The Outdoor Code

As an American, I will do my best to -

* Be clean in my outdoor manners.
I will treat the outdoors as a heritage.
I will take care of it for myself and others
I will keep my trash and garbage out of lakes, streams, fields, woods, and roadways.

* Be careful with fire.
I will prevent wildfire.
I will build my fires only where they are appropriate.
When I have finished using a fire, I will make sure it is cold out.
I will leave a clean fire ring, or remove all evidence of my fire.

* Be considerate in the outdoors.
I will treat public and private property with respect.
I will use low-impact methods of hiking and camping.

and

* Be conservation minded
I will learn how to practice good conservation of soil, waters, forests, minerals, grasslands, wildlife, and energy.
I will urge others to do the same.

Russ,

Thanks - that's the one! Everyone that enjoys the great outdoors we are blessed with should follow it. Unfortunately we have way too many asshats in this world!
