Does anyone know where I can find unviersal fit rubber flooring?

The biggest dimensions I can find aren't quite big enough for my project, I figured someone here would know. I would really like to get it 75 by 70 inches or bigger

too thick for the cab of my van, but thanks for the suggestion.

I need something around 1/8 inch I found a universal floor but I will need two and I will have to make a seam. It's 135 buck for one so I'd rather not!!!

anyone else?

Don't know where you are but in the SF Bay Area Darcoid Rubber is a good resource. Also check McMaster-Carr on line- they may have rubber mat off a roll sold by the foot. Try them always for everything!
Good luck,
Jeff

You're in Canada aren't you?

Some times Industrial Plastics & Paint has rubber matting in various types kicking around. they had big rolls of 1/4 inch stuff outside their doors last time I was by .

Industrial Plastics & Paints

It's not something they always carry I don't think, just shows up from time to time.

cheers,
ryan

Thank you

I've contacted two of these kind of places already ( they were in the states) and yes I'm in Canada

but I will contact these guys and see it they can help me out, much appreciated!

Have you tried Norwesco in Calgary? I buy 4' wide rubber sheets for vibration dampening on transit buses from them and I know they have a big selection of products. They may have wider stuff.

thanks guys I found someone that can make me a custom sheet and at least has sheets big enough I won't need seams. Now it's all about the cost and shipping this stuff can get heavy...

thanks for the replies if anyone has anymore just post em up...

Care sharing any info on the product you've found? Maybe someone else is looking as well.

yep will do I just need some more info myself, I was told via email they can do what I need. Make a custom rubber sheet all one piece to my specs to directly fit into the space I need. I just need to find out cost and the actual material and I will post up the information

cheers
Eric

I believe there is an Australian company that makes reproduction carpet kits for the 60. They have a vinyl/rubber floor kit that is molded to fit perfectly. I don't know if they make other models. I found the site by searching this site. For the life of me I can't remember what their name is.

Same company that makes Sand Grabba mats:

Some sort of group buy?

I have a couple 40 series PCV sets from Queensland Moulded Car Carpets. I haven't installed them yet. I'd be happy to snap a few photos if people are curious what they look like.

They arrive in a box folded very tightly. I think it would be easy to flatten them to the floor on a warm day. They are very stiff in cold weather.

Yes - pics would be awesome! I'd like to order an 80 series kit, but can't justify shipping costs for a single set. IMHO, having carpet in these rigs is a pain...

I have a suggestion, although they are getting harder to find now that everyone has those fancy bedlining products for their pickups. The local farm store sells bed mats for pickup trucks, in all popular sizes of beds. In the $40 to $60 range.

I got one to protect the floor of my M101. It's got small ribs on one side and sort of a ripple not skip type surface on the other. I put the ribbed side down, as that will help moisture evaporate if it gets underneath.

They are heavy, but not as heavy as a stall mat. Definitely easier to cut to size. I did consider a stall mat, but just picking one end of one up at the store convinced I could save 50-100 pounds by going with something a little less bulletproof.

Lowes has a 4'x6' exercise/truck bed rubber mat for $40. It is about 1/4" thick. Works good for the cargo area.

I can't find it on their web site.

For the seating areas I bought a front/rear passenger vinyl floor set from All Car Carpets in Australia. It works great. They sell custom fit carpet flooring as well.

pro tip: if you buy from the place above, be sure to specify if you want matting, what kind, and that you are LEFT HAND DRIVE

It looks like from the website that for the 40 series they list front and rear carpet, custom fit and molded vinyl. When you mention matting are you talking about the sound dampener Resomat that they sell or that standard or premium underlay?
