Does anyone know the trick to getting these fitted. I have tried to get my spare and ladder swingouts mounted for about 4 hours. They do not want to seat. What is the secret because I am :bang::bang::hhmm::bang::censor::censor::censor:

thanks for any help

Are you talking about the ones with oiled bronze bushings?

In my case, one issue was that the tube was damaged a bit in shipping, cracking the BB and making the whole thing a bit out of round. Got a new BB from Lance and finessed it with a dead blow to bring it back to round.

If everything checks out and looks to spec...then get the bushing started on the post, swing it back and forth while tapping it with a dead blow and it should just drop on...if not use a bigger hammer or emory cloth the post...Also make sure there are no burrs on the post from shipping (dropping)
