Not sure how many of you are aware of the FREE downloads you can get from the RGS site.
Expedition Handbook
this is just a sample and there is lots more in pdf form. I keep it all on my laptop that is used for navigation so I have it as a reference and reading material if I get bored.
Something else fun...
Ever since I was a kid watching Wild Kingdom and reading books on Africa and other expedition goals I had heard about the Royal Geographical Society.
This summer as my son & I backpacked around Europe I made a point of visiting the RGS, spending some time in the Foye Reading Room (amazing) and just being a pest. You should have seen the looks on their faces as I tried to talk them out of a first edition of the VDEG they had just laying on a file cabinet.
Anyway I recently got a packet in the mail and couldn't help put post it up. I tried not to but it such a fun personal thing after all the hard work on Disabled Explorers and really is more of a reflection of everything I have learned from folks on the forums and from Overland Traning.
So from now on it is 1 Leg Lance FRGS thank you very much...yeah I know goofy but something fun to share with friends.
