Time to let the cat out of the bag.....
We have never really had a charity specific to the Round Up. A significant portion of the money raised has always been donated as part of the charity raffle in December. This year we will have a specific charity with a bit of a different way to raise money.
This is the 13th Round Up, a Baker's Dozen. Spinning this phrase for a double purpose.
In recognition of Butch Baker's service to the chapter and specifically Round Up, a charity was chosen that is close to the heart for Butch, Women Rock. We are producing a special black hoodie with the women rock logo on the front and a picture of Butch and his truck on the back.
Price, glad you asked. The suggested donation is $25, but we encourage everyone to give more from their heart. The Chapter is covering the cost of the hoodie. ALL FUNDS RAISED FROM THE SALE OF THESE HOODIES WILL BE DONATED TO WOMEN ROCK. Please give to help those in need.
The plan is that as everyone wears these hoodies throughout the year and across the country, they can share the story and encourage others to participate.
Late breaking news, ARB has graciously donated an ARB 50 qt Fridge/Freezer for a speciaf raffle for this charity!
