Rube Goldberg style at its finest. When it works well it’s super fun…. Well at least to me.
I keep telling myself it can only to back one way….

You got it for sure! Thankfully there are quite a few new critical parts for it still available, like the ball joints and some of the bushings and seals. :)

I’m going to be shocked if I manage to get all this s*** back where this truck goes forward and backwards ever again.

I may have to fly @landcrusher909 in to help.

How could anyone dream up something so complicated?

Rob, looks like you may need to put your cape on

Got the steering all in place. Thanks to Cruiser Outfitters for providing new steering links and ends. Makes this job so much easier versus rehabbing old stuff.

.6 sounds right. Gracias.

I’ve switched gears to brakes and brake lines. My TSM rear disc setup showed up today from Valley Hybrids. Working brakes and steering by the end of today tomorrow is the goal.

Meanwhile something big is happening outside the shop door

Hope you have permits for that addition!

Shh, don't tell the historical society.

Damn. I smacked head first into a brick wall on the brakes. TSM, who I hail as having the best rear disc kit messes up one of my brackets and the pins won’t line up so I’m off brakes until I can get another bracket from California

That said, I won’t be able to tow Rosie out for a bit anyway

I’ll move to something else tomorrow.

This is the first gas tank I’ve ever removed that did not have currency or a rifle casing under it. A little bit of grass seed is all I had to clean up. Still no rust.

This beautiful rust free transmission hump is marked safe from my body saw I’ll clean it up and line it with heat shield before it goes back in place

This stupid hazard switch does not work. The yankee said there was an inline fuse somewhere under the dash that must be the culprit.

I yanked everything out and laid under there for 10 minutes and can’t find it. Anyone know?

Do you have one of these (Power Probe)?

I find the ability to check for power (and amount of power) and ground as well as to apply power and ground helps to diagnose gremlins.
