Roof rack

Hey anyone know where to get a roof rack? I had seen one on an fj but can't remember where. It only had two smaller bars near the rear of the truck and also had a yakima rack connected to it. If anyone can help point me in the right direction it would be great.

Well, you can get them lots of places...depending on what you want.

Are you looking for a stock aluminium rack or something aftermarket? The stock rack has bars all the way along the truck, but only cross pieces towards the back. There are also half racks from ARB that might fit your desription.

Use the search feature in this thread to search roof rack and look at the pics you find. Once you know what you want, we can help you find out where to get it.

Then I connected Yakima Lowrider towers and crossbars and there you go! I'm able to use all my yakima accesories I already had. PM me if you have any more q's.

Did you have to cut anything or does the rack just bolt together?

i love my gobi but its on the pricey end . i would buy this one again if i had to do it again.

Hey Mapleton, does the Gobi curve slightly to follow the contour of the roof? I like the Gobi but would it work if somebody wanted to put a roof tent up there?

Take a look at your rack, you'll see that it all bolts together. There was another thread I read that explained how to do it. I'll try and find and post it.
