My 250 has shed its FE roof rack. I don't think water will find its way in past my bolt/gasket situation, but went ahead and ordered what the local Toyota parts dept. said was the correct cover piece. Unsurprisingly, it is not, and doesn't fit over the bolts, even without the added washers.
Anyone know what the correct part/parts #'s might be for this? Guessing its whatever the 1958 drip rail setup is..

Maybe there should be shorter bolts when the roof rack not installed? Are they too tall or is the piece too long?

I am curious why you removed the roof rack?

The piece is too narrow and looks like it's supposed to snap into something that isn't present here. The OEM bolts are also seated too high, so not sure what Toyota's intended resolution would be here.

I don't plan to use the rack, and wasn't crazy about the looks / proportions.
I was also curious how removal would affect drag and wind noise on the highway. It reduced both, according to my ears and MPG metrics.

If anyone reading this with a 1958 feels like taking a picture of whats under the drip rail gasket where the rack would mount, it would be appreciated!

Thanks! Makes sense now - looks like I need to find the part #'s for that bridge plate assembly

Using my VIN on my 1958, that is the correct part number for the covers on the parts catalog.

75596-60040 (6)

Just wondering if you found a resolution yet? Also, do you have any idea of the weight of the roof rack?

Ordered the brackets and bolts fort9378 provided pictures of above - waiting on those to arrive. My guess for weight is 50-60lbs.

Roof rack weight is 42.2 lbs
