Holy s***! What a freaking monster. I don't understand why anyone would buy one of these for daily riding, or even weekend blasting. There is so much power, you can't ever open it up. Even canyon carving would be a task. My Versys is easier to toss through the corners, and I can use all it's power, which is both a blessing and curse. More power is usually better, but I think there comes a point where more power isn't necessarily better.

Maybe if I was able to get it onto an open road and unwind it, I would understand better. It was way faster than either the Triumph Tiger, or the Speed Triple that I rode a few weeks ago. Those were quick bikes, but this thing is warped.

I quite liked it, but it scared the s*** outta me, and I can understand how easy it would be to get into some serious trouble on it!

yep... I hear ya. I bought a new CBR1100XX in '01. Docile as an Accord around town but give 'er a freeway on ramp? s***e!

Yes...these newer liter bikes are amazing..and there is basically nothing on the road that can keep up with them. Yet they are just as safe as cars if you know how to ride one. Once you get out on a long straight road and experience what 150mph feels like...it becomes nothing to add another 35-40mph.
