HUH ? Oh..... CT
Well, some of my landscaping equipment got swiped, small portable stuff like leaf blowers, generators... anything that was an easy carry.

I have to replace the Giant Vac leaf blowers that had Kohler/Yamaha 13 hp engines. The guy I buy from has blowers with Robin engines, 14 hp. He says they are just as good as Honda or my old Kohlers, but that seems to be all he has in stock except Briggs, and I ain't doing Briggs engines ever again.

Anyone with long term experience with Robin engines? The Hondas, Kohlers(Yamaha), Kawasaki all seem to last and wear out, which is fine. The Briggs just blow up, especially the Intek. I just want to be sure I am not getting into a Briggs type situation.

The Wisconsin Robin engines were good and as good as an older B&S IC engine. Big ball bearings, cast iron sleeve, etc. The Subaru Robin Engines are better than the Wisconsin Robin.

The EnteK is a piece of crap price point engine. Kohler Command is a great engine until you actually use it. You soon find the air filters are too small and get plugged to easy.

One key thing to consider is what does you local dealer sell and support? Does he have the parts instock for you to maintain your fleet or does he have to order everything?

That's what I wanted to read. The Robin is about 30 pounds lighter than my old Kohler/Yamaha too so that helps.

My understanding is that Robin is trying to get their foot in the door and selling the engines at a discount. Then the price will go up.

I have two of these, one on a BillyGoat push blower and one on a generator.

Very happy with both.
