Just visited the Rising Sun sight and saw a run to Chinaman's on 1 April. Meeting at Jhonson's village at 0930. Drive out at 1000.

This could be a good chance to meet up with another great club.

Hey I might actually be able to get a kitchem pass due to spring break. Woo Hoo!!

Now how long has it been since I have been on a trail? Ouch I cant think that far back!

I forgot to ask, who thinks they will make it?

Guessing that we meet at western at 0730 and depart at 0800. this will give us an hour and a half to get there, stretch our legs and air down.

Any other suggestions, comments?

I'm planning to be there with 2 of 3 kidlets (5 & 3).... see you in the am! :bounce2:

Nice meeting you Hants! Looking forward to searching for another mall again with you! ;)

It was a great trip! It was a huge group, and a little slow at times. Everyone kept a good attitude throughout. The FJ's were a hit, and seemed quite capable (even if I never saw the silver one, and only saw the blue one a couple times). Pretty impressive seeing them (near-stock) running along with rest of the built-out rigs.

Bummer about Nathaniel's axle, though. I'm glad he made it out OK (after a cold night on the mountain). It was good to see that everyone in the rear group made sure the rescue was all set up (parts, delivery, mechanical assistance, food, water, cold weather gear, etc.) before leaving the scene/trail.

I can now vouch for Slee's transfer case skidplate -- It WILL support the entire weight of an 80

I'm not sure I could get it back on, though, if I remove it

I cleaned a little of the powder coat off both virgin bumpers, and some more off the sliders, too. :grinpimp:

At this rate, I'll have a Beater Edition :princess: by the end of the year :crybaby: :D

Get any photos of it in action?

Unfortunately, no... My wife decided to stay home with the little one... it was just me and my 3 and 5 year olds.

I think I saw a couple of action shots of me in one of the Albums posted on the Rising Sun forum... Haven't had a chance to go back and pull them down.

Nice to meet you Hants... Look forward to seeing you again on the Trail :D
