Well, after alot of search and research I've landed on the following solution:

US Wheel makes a 16 x 8 inch wagon wheel for about $50.00. The original backspacing is 4.25. They will customize them to 2.5 in the factory. They ship straight from the factory with no paint, just 4 steel rims. The total for 4, including shipping comes to $255.00. Best deal I could find. Only deal I could find with the right Backspacing.

Question: How hard will this be on the knuckle/bearings over time?

Search. been discused 50 thousand times.

From what I can remember US wheel does nto sell direct? Order from Summit and get free shipping. Wear on the bearings is minimal.

tha 'swat I did. based on reading all those posts..........specially 3puttcops photo.

I was just wondering about the bearings 'cause the Summit sales rep. said something about it.

Barry on the knuckle bearings:
Have you done a front axle service-repacked & replaced the bearings?

If not you may....want to look at doing this sometime....this would include replacing the bearings they are talking about.

Good luck & hope things work out!

If you actually lube them regularly, the additional offset will not be a big deal

Steering will be harder tho.
