On my '99 LC I noticed that the right side speakers in the middle row and back row have no sound. The front right speaker works fine. Now, obviously, I checked L and R on the stereo to make sure and no sound comes out of the right middle row and back row speakers. I'm not sure if this is a fuse problem, and if so, which fuse and where is it located? Or is this a wiring problem, or blown speaker problem?

Thanks.

My guess would be blown speaker. I had the same thing happen to the drivers front. I dropped in a pair of Kenwoods and I am headbanging again.

I am not sure if the rear and fronts are the same but if you pay for shipping you can have the drivers left. I don't know which is which anymore so I have ship both. Also, I removed the factory connections so you'll have to replace them yours.

I'm not sure if the front and rear speakers are the same size. I wonder what all the different speaker sizes are???

a couple more questions. is the lone back speaker just a subwoofer with only bass, or do some of the higher sounds come out of there, too? also, before i rip these doors to shred, what is the easiest way to get to the door speakers and the one in the back?
thanks.

btw, for Cuiser804, if the speakers are the same in the front and middle, and my middle left door speaker is shot, i may take you up on that offer. once i figure out how to get to the door speakers, i'll check them out to see if the right one is blown.

The far rear speaker is only a sub. The door speakers are all 6 1/2", but the fronts are connected to a crossover to work with the tweeters so I'm not sure if they are the same type of speaker.

Thanks. So what would be the best way to get to the door speakers in the middle row???

You gotta take of the door panel. Put the window down first. I haven't looked at the back doors, but there should be strategicly places screws on the panel that need to be removed. Some are somewhat hidden under little caps and whatnot. Like behind the inner door handle and underneath the power window switch. To get the switch off, just use a butterknife or something of the sort and slide back from the from. This should compress the little slip that holds the front down. Once you have all the noticeable screws out, start gently pulling the panel away from the door at the bottom. There will be plastic pins holding the panel on, so be careful not to break them. Once is starts coming off lift it up to get it off the window lip. Once the panel is off, the speaker should be easily accessible with 4 or 5 screws holding it in.
