Just took the WR250X out of the garage for about a 40 mile ride around town, visited the motorcycle shop and jammed the freeway on the way home! What a blast pullin' wheelies in mid January in dtown traffic. Should have seen the looks I got. Just got it all cleaned up and back in the garage, what a blast!! Needed that!

Conti attacks? If you are referring to the tires they come stock as Bridgestone battletrax and they are ok for a stock tire. I'm looking at a 120 pilot power but am not sure if it will fit?? maybe a bit too wide, stock is a 110. I have a r6 and haven't ridden it since i purchased the wr in july.
p.s. the r6 is for sale for about 6k'ish'

Oh sorry. Quick glance I thought they were the looping tread of the conti. Spring is coming.. the R6 should move soon.

LOL! 17.5K redline! Must be insane to rev that thing out! My Versys lives pretty much between 2-7K, redlines at 10.5, but doesn't spend much time there :~))

About that...Yamaha's infamous tach scandal...the bike actually red lines around 16k rpms. The first few thousand bikes or so Yamaha had made a mistake on the tach showing that it redlined higher than what it actually did so they offered to replace all of the incorrect tachs but I was too lazy to take it all apart ship and wait for another. But yeah even @ 16k rpms it's amazing!! I think that the fastest I've had it up to is about 145mph and it was sittin' around 13k rpms. Can't remember exactly due to the death factor...

Got another ride in today!!!! Bad idea to ride in jeans, sweatshirt, dirtbike gloves and a all weather riding jacket!!! I left @ 11am and is was about 29 degrees and at about 68 mph it was more like -15...haha!!
This week I'll have ridden my sumo, snowboarded and snorkeled!!! Going to Mexico Monday!!! Not too bad for late January!
