RidderFab #413 Limited 4 makes great progress at UP100 Offroad
Bark River, MI.
August 10-12th Bark River, MI. Team RidderFab enjoyed great racing weather and a fast track in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Rounds 9 and 10 of the TORC Series presented by Amsoil brought an opportunity for the #413 to run in a combined race of Pro 4 and Limited 4 Trucks. Jimmy Ridderbush took the Land Cruiser out for a four lap practice Friday evening with a brand new spring package, some chassis adjustments and a high level of determination to move the #413 forward in the pack on race day. The adjustments and new spring package worked out well and RidderFab #413 was in good shape for Round 9.
Round 9
Saturday morning the crew put a final prep on the Prusik Livestock Land Cruiser in anticipation of a midafternoon race. Bark River’s Track Crew did an excellent job of track prep and keeping the races moving along. The racers were rewarded with a record breaking crowd of fans and the fans were awarded excellent racing in all classes. Jimmy lined up the #413 in the back of the two by two rolling starting grid and dropped the hammer when the green flag flew. After turning two excellent laps and gaining even more confidence in the truck a little gremlin reached up and pulled the rear driveshaft from the truck ending Jimmy’s day on the track. The crew hustled back to the pits to evaluate the truck. Aside from the driveshaft change the truck was in great condition so race prep was done promptly.
Round 10
Sunday brought warmer temperatures and a later day race for the Veterans Mechanical, Baumgart Tire, Jahnke Auto Body sponsored #413 Land Cruiser. Jimmy was ready to hit the track early. “We make little changes here and there and the truck just keeps getting better. We are ready to go racing.” Jimmy said before he climbed in the truck and headed for staging. Jimmy was right; the #413 turned some excellent laps and completed the Pro 4 & Limited 4 combined event in 8th place.
The Prusik Livestock #413 came back to the pit in good condition and headed home to RidderFab in Appleton, WI for race prep for Rounds 11 and 12 of the TORC series September 1 & 2 at the BIG HOUSE in Crandon, WI. Jimmy would like to thank all the fans for stopping by the pits during the weekend and offering encouragement. RidderFab thanks the sponsors that make this year racing a possibility.
Prusik Livestock, Jahnke Auto Body, Veterans Mechanical, Baumgarts Tire are all greatly appreciated. TORC and MORR have also aligned racers with contingency sponsors such as K&N, J&H Transmission, Howe Steering, PAC Springs, Allstar Performance, Aeroquip, ARP, and McKenzie’s Performance.
What’s next? Labor Day Weekend at the Big House in Crandon, WI. September 1st and 2nd. Look for the Orange, White and Yellow #413 Land Cruiser of Prusik Livestock and RidderFab to give everything available in pursuit of a Limited 4 Class Championship Ring.
