Rhode Island beach access?

I'm going up to to Pt Judith/Narragansett for the weekend. Clamcake n' chowda run.

Are there any beaches in the area to take a ride on?
Been going up there for years but never really thought about it.

I searched a bit but didn't come up with much.

Any local knowledge would be appreciated.

None in that area to my knowlege, but I'm a RI noob. Maybe Peters will weigh in. Gotta go to Iggy's since you'll be in the area.

You can run on east beach in charlstown, but you have to be inspected and get a beach access tag from the DEM. Go to the RI DEM website to check the requirements and fees. Its about $50 for residents, don’t know for non-residents. Probably not worth it for a weekend.

I went last year and you have to fill out a form and have a bunch of info but the site should tell you.

Too much hassle and $$$ for a couple hours ride in the sand.

I'll be stuffing my face with lobsta at Champlins instead.
