RHD insurance

So foolishly I sold my nice BJ60 before looking in to insurance options for the HDJ81 I was planning on buying. Now I have found the truck I want to buy and thought I'd double check on insurance and they won't cover RHD. Nothing new I guess after reading the forums I guess things have tightened up recently.

Do any local guys have any insurance options for RHD? Thought I would check as I can finally afford a decent HDJ81 and it looks I might be out of luck?

when I had insurance problems I just went to a broker and they called a whole load of places and found me an insurer a day later. Have you tried a broker?

I spoke with a Statefarm agent this past summer and they said that while they don't offer RHD insurance as a primary policy, they will insure RHD vehicle for an existing policy holder as a matter of courtesy. You will to move all your business with them and hold you policy for 6 months first, then they will insure your RHD.

Otherwise a broker is your best bet.

My RHD is parked right now but when I plan to get it back on the road, I will be moving to Statefarm ... 6 months in advance
