As a follow-up to last night's club meeting, I'm posting up the info I presented then.

For practice exams: QRZ.COM Callsign Database has a link in the upper, right corner. Another good site, AA9PW FCC Exam Practice does not require registration although that's free on "QRZ". Keep taking them until you pass reliably. You need 26 of 35 correct for the Technician license. The tech exam is not "rocket science". :) That's all there is to it.

If you' re looking for another hobby and want to understand the theory, then there are a couple of good study books. ARRL Ham Radio License Manual is considered a "bible" by many. Ham Radio for Dummies is another good one. Both have sample exams in them as well.

If you want to register for a exam, visit Find an Amateur Radio License Exam in Your Area.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.

^^^ This is great info. Thanks for putting it together.
