I'm a big Landcruiser fan and I own four of them. I also own a car dealership in Memphis,Tn.
As a dealer, I can license and register any vehicle 25 years or older.
I offer a title replacement service for $395 including fedex service.
How this works:
You provide background on where / who you purchased the car from. You send me a photo of the vin that is printable.
You send me $495.00 via paypal. I send you a bill of sale, that you fill out and you sell your car to my dealership on a signed bill of sale.
You send a copy of your driver's license. My dealership sends you a bill of sale selling you the car back for $100.00 . We send you a paypal for $100.
We register, and pay tax on $100 and we apply for title from the state of TN for your car. Approximately 4-6 weeks later we have a clear TN title that my dealership assigns to you and we attach our dealership bill of sale to the title and we fedex the title to you. (As of late, Nashville has been sending titles inside of four weeks).
You then take the TN title and dealership paperwork to your local DMV and you pay tax on the $100 sales price. Your state then issues title in your name.
I offer this service to hobbyists who are restoring cars. Most European countries also will accept my TN titles and bill of sale.
I charge an extra $100 for international service.
