I don't need my Airlift bags in the rear as I will no longer need them to pull my 17' trailer. I always hate making big changes to my truck just before a long run, but then I'd just be going back to "stock" OME coils. Then there is just the effort of getting them out. I think if I jack the truck up to full droop and soap up the bags they can be pulled from between the coils. That's how Airlift describes installation but the guys that did my install removed the springs. I won't do that now, too close.

Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks,
Ace

Your bags/coils are different but on my setup there is no way I could possibly get one of the bags to com out by squeezing it through the coils. I had to remove my springs, which wasn't a big deal a non issue, and insert the bags through the top. I jacked up the truck one side at a time and I believe, removed the lower shock mount.

Well, there gone now. Neither would hold air so they got sliced up and removed. That stuff is tough! After they were out I realized there was nothing to hold the spring in place so I got busy and fabbed a rubber disc to secure the top.

Ride is significantly improved because the coils are free to move w/o restriction.

Having run trails for a week I want to repeat how much better the ride is without the airbags. They limited travel and slowed the responsiveness. I like it!
