Relocating to Iowa...Questions

Folks - I know someone that may be relocating to Iowa (Cedar Rapids area)...just curious as to any particular truck configuration issues he may need to be aware of (bumper height, stuff like that...).

Anyone have any input? Where could he get more information on state regs?

Iowa is one of the most 'free' states when it comes to vehicle requirements. The state has a DOT website, but IIRC the only real mandates are a windshield, lights, seat belts, brake lights, and a few other obvious items.

Things like exhaust, lift, tire size are not regulated the last time I checked.

I moved my brother from AZ a couple of years ago. He had the BIG Truck, Heep with no flares. The only problem he had here in Iowa was his Dark tinted windows. Oh, and his speeding.
