Released parking brake, but the brake light stay on.

Anyone knowns why? It is a 2000 Toyota corolla

Sometimes the brake master cylinder has a switch wired to the float to let you know you're low on fluid.

What he said, but it could also be a loose connection in the break handel.

could be some navel fuzz caught-up in the parking brake switch.... that's what I found on a Taco once w/ that problem

on my honda it was telling me low fluid. filled it a couple times, needed new master cylinder. didn't cost too too much...
