Recommendations?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a mechanic or a cruiserhead in general to take a look at a 1972 FJ40 that I'm looking at. It's in Cumberland Gap. The owner suggested Middleboro, KY for a mechanic as he said it's the closest large town to him. I'd go myself, but I am on the wrong side of the country. If someone would be able to do this, I'd be happy to pay for gas/time for them.

Hi Bluehawk,

If it's a cruiserhead, the usual once over and knowing what to look for. If it's a mechanic, one that would preferably know cruisers a little and also a general once over too.

The cruiser is on ebay and ends at 4pm on Tuesday.

Just looked at the ebay add. Looks really solid. The only thing that I can see that stands out are the knuckles. Looks like they need rebuilt.

I never did get that from the seller. I think I am going to hold off for awhile on another cruiser. I have some surgery coming up and with our 3 month old daughter I am already short on time. I appreciate all your guys' help on this. I'm sure there will be another July 72 cruiser for me one day and if not, I am good with what I have.
