This has been covered somewhere here I am sure(obviously cant find it), but here goes.
What primer would you guys recommend spraying on raw steel for a trailer. The top coat will be roll on monstaliner.
What spray gun(model #) should I go with(I assume HF). My air compressor is rather small. I could rent a larger compressor if needed. I am going to do this in my garage. Thanks in advance.

I feel sure you can roll on epoxy primer. You mix parts A + B, wait a set amount of time, then spray or roll. After the epoxy has had time to "gas off" you can top coat. The great thing about epoxy primer is it adheres to the metal and also the top coat as long as all is done in the correct time frame.
If you spray you will want a larger nozzle primer gun. Go to the auto paint store and consult with them.
