recommend me some trip ideas

I'm from the coast but am in penticton right now with the wife.

We've got from Tuesday till Friday without any firm destinations planned...gonna end up in merrit on Friday.

Any recommendations? Places to check out/spend the night?

100 series with a RTT. Need to pick up a good fuel can for some extra range but only place for it is within the cab...thinking kelowna may be the only place to find that...

Chute Lake. Its a decent little trail from Kettle Valley, up the mountain and over to Chute Lake lodge.

Princess auto in Kelowna, has nato cans for a good price.

On the way home take the Princeton Summerland Road, then Tulameen to the KVR connection to Brooksmere. You exit at Goldwater road on the Coquihalla which is 30km or so from Merritt.

Take Highway 8 from Merrit to HIghway 1 at spences bridge and then home throughthe Fraser Canyon.

This is all touring and there are plenty of places to camp.

There are fuel stops along the way on the trip I just laid out so you don't really need the can.

Brenda Lake is a nice spot on top of the Connector; Sunset exit I think, access up Brenda Mine Road if you want to take a back road up there.

Got a NATO can at princess auto, now were in princeton gonna do the whipsaw then come down to tulameen and head to merrit as suggested above.
