Your best bet is something like the ARB air locker. About $1000 for the locker, but a decent option when you need a locker. Onboard air is also good for soft terrain (air down for sand, air back up before hitting the highway.

Your best options for a selectable locker are ARB, Harrop, or finding a factory locked rear axle to swap in.
Getting a manual transmission in the third generation Tacoma is difficult, especially if you want a rear locker but don’t want to spend a fortune$$$.
I looked at tacos for my kid and we wound up getting an SR5 4R instead.
