I just bought a 92 FJ80, and took it up on the logging roads yesterday. Going up one step mound odd dirt, my rear hitch, under the bumper, drug on the ground real bad. I want to get rid of it, and bolt a 2" ball set up to the factory holes on my stock bumper. Anybody have a link to what fits, or the bolt pattern that I need? Thanks!

Bumper unsafe if youre towing a trailer,. Is there any way you can fab a skid plate for the lower portion of the hitch? I had to do it early on and it worked pretty well.

Even a little trailer? Most I'll tow is 1,000-1,500lbs. What are those holes for, if not for a hitch?

Factory bumpers do not take into consideration the twist torque and tugging you will encounter on logging roads, those holes are for mounting yes but towing on flat roads streets etc. You can use them but you probably will tear the bumper loose or bend it more than you would like. X2 on the previous post if you can get to the cross member of the frame by cutting a receiver size hoe great, that gives you more stability.

IIRC, the bolt pattern is the standard one for pintle hooks and the like.

(is your receiver hitch the type with the receiver welded below the hitch main arm? cuz there are some where the receiver is at the same height as the main bar, that will get you already 2.5" higher ground clearance. Also keep in mind that the receiver may hit first but that is not necessarily a bad thing if it'll protect the rest of the truck.)
