Rear Entertainment

Hey ya'll - I have a 2020 Heritage & looking to add rear entertainment for our kids. Our youngest has a hearing aid & cochlear implant so headphones & ipad volume output can be an issue so I'm looking for recommendations on the best quality of screens that can tie into the LC's audio. Thanks to you all in advance!

How about an iPad with bluetooth connection to the LC sound system? I'm a big fan of the versatility of iPads for entertainment and mounting them on the headrests is nice. The latest iPad Pro has 4 speakers with remarkably good sound without using headphones or AirPods.

Thank you! I like the idea of connecting to the LC via bluetooth. With two kids, would there be a way to sync two ipads? Not a huge issue but would be nice to have both screens synced & using the LC audio system.

You can by a windows tablet and use duet display ($10 app iirc) to allow the ipad to be used as a second display. I use my windows laptop with my ipad as a second display regularly. Or you could buy a portable monitor, which can be had pretty cheap.

I'd talk to an car audio shop for options. I know there are custom made headphone adapters that attach to cochlear implants. I'm guessing your child's audiologist can give you options if you want the flexibility of having your kids watch their own programs.

Edit, I also think there are headrest mounts that let a tablet sit between the two seats for a shared viewing experience.

I’ve got my grandkids working on that. They’ve both used iPads in my LC when my sons family has borrowed it. If anyone knows how to synchronize iPad playback, they will.

Just to circle back on this.......no ideas yet for dual playback on iPads. And the kids were not interested anyway......they each like their own entertainment.
