Rear End Noise Questions

Sooner or later had to have something go wrong since she's the daily driver, so I guess I'm due. :bang:

Today I leave work to head home for lunch, and notice a "shhh-shhh-shhh " sound coming from the left rear axle area when backing up. When I straighten up and at speed, I don't hear it.

Any clues on what it could be, and what I'm looking at to fix it? I've done nothing to either axle to date, except change the diffs out on both when I first got it.

Next week get Jordan or Todd to come listen... I would if I was going to be in town.

Could be brake pads rubbing. Rear caliper sticking at first since you push the brakes to get out of park. Listen to see if it does it after a stop light. Do your best ACE Ventura and hang your head out. It is nothing serious I am pretty sure.

I'm at work from 7:45 to 5:15 with a 30 minute lunch somewhere in there. School on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:10 to 8:35. Leaving Friday to head back to the Spa City to get Snoop runnin' :rolleyes:

Can't explain it, but the noise went away yesterday and haven't heard anything since. ?!!

I think we should get the Southaven Lunch Cruisers to convene a committee over lunch and gimme a second opinion.

Todd, any chance you'd rather do this on Thursday or Friday? I think we might wrangle Tim into coming if we do it then. If not, I'm still game to hang out! Call when you can.

Edit: Can't do Friday. Thursday, anyone?!
