My DVD player has died. I think I'll probably take down the current rear screen and install an all in one screen with DVD built into it. As such I won't need the rear DVD player anymore which leaves a big hole in my rear trim piece.

Do the 100's that don't have the rear DVD player option have a pocket that can be used or is that cutout in the rear trim piece only there for the DVD option and for non-DVD equipped trucks there is no cutout or cubby at all?

If there is a cubby part number anyone have that? I've combed over many oem parts diagrams and haven't been able to find anything.

I don't know if a pocket is available, but if you need the cover for the hole when you remove the DVD player in the rear trim, here is the part number:

Rear DVD player ivory cover 64716-60040-A0

Thanks, I am fortunate enough to still have the cover, so it still looks decent with the cover on, just a big void behind the cover.

For those of you that do not have rear DVD player can you post a picture of the rear passenger side trim piece?

My player went out a few yrs ago. I spent $370 for replacements. $120 for a 11" HD monitor with HDMI port. $250 blu-ray player. Beautiful picture, awesome sound from the Mark Lenvinson radio. Just wish I'd done this yrs ago.

Yeah I may still go that way, remote DVD player and stand alone screen but I am trying to avoid that solution. I have seen some decent all in one units that have a installed depth of 2" or less. I like having the DVD player built into the unit because then we can swap DVDs out easily from the front seats. Plus most still have FM modulator and wireless headset options which are compatible with the OEM Toyota head phone sets I already have.

Also, with the all in one unit I can gain a new cubby in the back where the DVD player used to reside and no wire running is needed. For the all in one unit all that is needed is a constant power, ground and signal wire which should already be in place from having the OEM screen.

Is this what you are talking about? I didn't know that there was an option for a DVD to be installed there. Mine came with a first aid kit in that spot. Sorry for the poor pictures, the 100 is in the dark parking garage.

I have the same as nnnnnate....never even knew there was an option for something different....always thought the rear DVD screens were all aftermarket. I would interested to see some pictures of what the OEM set up looks like....

That's the exact pocket I'm hunting for! I have the first aid kit but never had a proper spot for it.

Here's what mine looks like now. And a pic of oem DVD player.

Anyone ever track down an OEM cubby to replace the rear DVD player? It kinda looks like the OEM non-DVD spot isn’t an insert like the DVD pouch so there’s not a straightforward replacement, but hard to tell for sure.

If no OEM cubby insert to replace a DVD player exists perhaps @BenCC you could make a cubby insert? I’m guessing it would be fairly straightforward and you’d have a lot of customers. I can ship you my DVD player if that is something you could make and it would facilitate.
