That's the lowest I've ever heard of, but anything is possible I guess. The best I've ever gotten in mine was 22 mpg one time on a trip with a tail wind; usually it gets 17-19 (combination hwy/city) and I have a steel bumper, winch, and 285 tires. Plus thanks to the gub'ment I can only buy gas with 10%+ ethanol which hurts mileage too.

I consistently average 16.5mpg combined. 305 MT/R's, Gobi, ARB, winch and some other stuff that has added about 800# to the total weight of my FJ. A/T transmission and a heavy right foot.

Stock I got up to 26MPG (canadian gallons are a bit bigger then USG) in ideal conditions {no wind 65mph}. Added ARB bumper and winch, OME 3" lift and 285 MUD TERRAINs running @ 38 psi. So far the best I can get is 19/20MPG at 65mph. I guess if you want to play, ....you gotta pay!!!

Best I go was right at 23 while keeping it under 70 on the freeway. Got 20-21 when the speed went to 75-80. Now that the brick is 2" higher and I have 33" the mileage has gone down at least 2mpg. Around town I get about 16.

I've gotten as high at 21 mpg but average (mostly in town) 14-15. With MT and 33" BFG's.

I've gotten close to 20 once on the highway. 14-15 is more norm. Worst was about 2-2.5 (but that was a 12 mile day long trail) all the goodies are listed below - never thought I'd do worse mileage with a manual...

my friend has an fj cruiser he is claiming 11 lit highway and 14.5 city (auto transmission) is this true??

Well Dupa I am getting 14 liters / 100 Kilometers for mountain driving, so 11 to 14.5 could be right, although it does seem a bit low.

For ya MPGers that's 16.6 (14.5) to 21.8 (11) ;)

TRD SE First 1500 mile week

I have gotten 18.5 -20.5 on the first week of my FJ TRD.
Today I turned Harrisburg from Baltimore at 70 to 80 MPH and got 19.5.
I love this truck................gm

Summer time I was getting 18 mpg all around

Winter it's down to 17 mpg all around driving.

AT with a roof rack and Yakima ski rack attached.

Mine still has stock wheels and tires, no lift, TRD exhaust, MT 6 trani. The worst city MPG 16.5 usually 18, best HWY was almost 21.
I am now an official member of "Friends of OPEC".............:) :)

Averaging 19.2

I now have 2450 miles on my TRD and my low has been 18 my high was 22.
My average for the entire time thus far is 19.2. I am running premium.............gm

I get better with the TRD CAT Back exhaust

I have a Automatic with TRD Bull Bar and a OME 2" lift and get 18.5 at 80 MPH and around 20 when I'm not speeding.
