I picked up this 2001 raptor 660 about a month ago and have been rebuilding it slowly.I got it running after cleaning the carbs, changing the oil and a new battery.:grinpimp: I also had to fiddle with the exhaust because it looks like someone was a little quick on the throttle and busted off the grab bar and drug the exhaust on the ground.

After I got the quad running the search for new plastics was on. I found a great deal on some used ones along with some spare parts on eBay. :bounce: I got the newish plastics on and its looking great! Except for the giant tires on the back! The quad was also missing the ign switch and dash so I got to work and made that plate out of aluminium and wired up a new switch and lights.

Oh I'm planning on it they suck, they rub on the plastics, and they are full of little holes. They barely stay aired up for a day. They were on the quad when I bought it. Do you know if they would be any good in the snow cause they are so wide?

Hmmm next time it snows a bunch and I'm home ill have to try it out. Have you ever used sand paddles in the snow? I imagine that they would be fun if the snow wasn't to deep and all powder.

I found a pair of rear paddles for 125 with rims i think ill give it a try. I'm just kind of worried about the tire being to cold and knocking off a paddle if there was like a stick under the snow since the cold could cause the glue to be brittle.
