I recently had a friend help me out with a description of the "safe" feature of the foot. Thanks Craig!!

" I will give you a little help though and take a shot at describing what I think this is.

Gentlemen (loosely), the steel footprint on a high-lift jack is cast flat. If you have ever used a hi-lift in real trail conditions (referring to rock/slabs etc..) to repair a flat, r & r a wheel/tire, pull an axle, etc.., the OEM steel foot print can and will slide very easily in off-camber situations. Like wearing flat shoes on ice or snow. It appears that cruzila has created a product that may make it harder for your vehicle to smash the s*** out of you while working on emergency trail repairs. How you say? By removing the interior portion of the flat footprint and only leaving a thin rim around the footprint, the machinist has created a jack base whose pounds per square inch of pressure on the contact area of the jack base far exceed the standard jack base. Plus the design creates a bridge over ball-bearing type pebbles on the slabs (ever slip and fall on your ass on granite slabs??)

Excellent idea!"
