Quick Intro from OK

Newbie from OK checking in. I'm new to FJ and new to offroading and was told to get over here pronto by a buddy.
I am in the process of purchasing a '14 FJC and am trying to get a head start on all of the extra "stuff" that I am going to need. The vehicle will primarily be a daily driver with occasional mild-mod offroading. I haven't decided on color but plan to matte wrap the entire thing. I'd also like to raise ground clearance just a little bit but not much.

Thanks Delancy. I registered there as well and have been doing a ton of reading. And thanks for the "don't overbuild" reminder. It is certainly easy to want a little bit of everything when just a few things are needed.

sounds like you have a pretty good idea of expectations from your truck … that is key to ensuring that whatever add-ons, changes you make to your truck will be done only once … over building is one thing, but doing things 2-3 times can also get expensive when there isn't a well thought direction for the build …

Best advice... get some seat time before you mod your rig. The FJC is very capable right out of the box and will easily handle what you described stock... of course that shouldn't stop you from going nuts with mods... But spend time in the seat on some trails and you may be surprised by what you end up modding.
