One 14 bolt one D60 .
Both 5.13's
The 14 bolt is new and the 60 is used.

60 looks good, 14 B is off, my rear end guy always runs a piece of notebook paper thru, and looks at the pattern.....want me to send ya' some more 4x4 websites you can ask this question on??????

Agreed. On the top two, assuming backlash is set in spec, the pinion needs to be shimmed closer to the ring gear. I'd add about .020" and then run another pattern.

Miker, the ist two were the 14 bolt. it only had a .020 shim in it. I replaced the 20 with a 10 and got a significantly better pattern..

backlash was set at .007

New backlash is at .010

I can't argue with success but those first two patterns (14 bolt) are indicating the pinion is too shallow.

On a 14 bolt you remove shims to get the pinion closer to the ring gear..
