The previous owner of this rig had the top refinished by a shop, probably 2-4 years ago if I had to guess. The seam sealer they used around the outside has cracked (see pictures).
What's the best way to take care of this without doing the whole job over again? I'm thinking of putting more seam sealer in the cracks, but I'm also considering silicone as I actually have that on hand. Also, my main concern: should I try to do anything about the bit of rust first? I have both ospho and evaporust on hand, maybe I can let a drop soak into the cracks where I see rust before I seal it up, I dunno.

I ended up sealing it with some clear silicone, it's not ideal, but a bandaid is better than an open wound. I think keeping the moisture out can only help. The top is in excellent shape minus what was pictured, so not worth redoing anytime soon imo.
