PTO winch, video tutorial

Hi Guys, some don't know how to use the PTO winch, made a little tutorial on it. It is the simplest way, you can also use it in drive gear but for this tutorial the transfer is in neutral.

Cool but I would have been useful t have shown how kept the cable tight while you pulled the slack out if it seeing as that is one of the most important parts of the operation.

Shear pin retention

Question about sheer pins. My was missing when I bought the rig so I just purchased a few from SOR. they show a hole in each end of the sheer pin, but no retaining devices in them, cotter keys, etc... What is the proper way to secure the ends of the sheer pin to prevent them from coming out?

Thanks! This was a big help for figuring out how to use the PTO winch on my '65 FJ40. Was worried it would not work so avoided trying it out since buying the truck - it was a champ. Got it properly pre-loaded now after a coat of paint.

Very happy to see the Ontario plates. I just moved to Texas 1.5 years ago after living my whole life in and around Toronto.
