The ancient nylon bushings on my fairlead rollers would swell with moisture and literally jam up the works.
I used a propane torch to get them out. I was surprised to find the the roller tubes' wall thickness is greater in the center of the tubes.
This is why I could not get a long punch to sit on the nylon lip and allow me to drift them out.
I made a 3d CAD file and a machinist nearby made replacement bushings out of delrin.
