Hi All:

Dunno if this is the correct section, but here goes.

Trying to remove an old tire from a wheel. I have removed the valve from the stem, and broken the bead using a Highlift jack. But, I can't seem to get the tire bead over the edge of the rim. I have tried prying it with a crowbar without success.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Alan

Ether light it and jump back

I think he's trying to remove it not reseat the beads . . . unless you mean that much ether.

since it is impossible to stretch the bead, you need to push one side down into the "deep" part of the wheel drum and pry the opposite side over

use tire irons? :)

don't forget to lube it up . i have changed semi truck tires with large screw drivers and proper technique .

you need two crowbars , stand on one side of the tire and stick a crow bar in straight across from you ,then pry it up now use the second one a couple inches over and do the same thing , main thing is to just take little bites go inch by inch .

windshield washer fluid is a good lube to take tires off . or dish soap .

there are probably videos on the internet
