Significant increase over 2024 except for SR5 trim - as expected.
Prices compete directly with the new Land Cruiser. One significant difference is that Land Cruiser is full-time 4WD, while most 4Runner trims are part-time 4WD. Full-time 4WD is only standard on Limited, but without 2-speed transfer case or rear locker.
INHO, the LC has a much more capable powertrain that combines:
- Good highway / snow / ice traction with full-time 4WD (Torsen central differential)
- Good off-road capability with 2-speed transfer case, and locking central and rear differentials
This is included in all trims, including the cheapest 1958
With the 4Runner you can opt for good highway traction with full-time 4WD but without 2-speed transfer case and rear locker or good off-road capability with part-time 4WD only, but not both.
