@Living in the Past

This I had posted in @Chungas Revenge 's thread...
they are very handy 'on road' but do have drawbacks to 'on trail' ... there were plenty of times i had the wheel ripped from me when i wasnt running PS... but i cant recall much of any once i went to ps ... these days i am mainly back roads and road use, IF i am so inclined to go to a hard trail.... most spinners come off with a phillips screw :)

The spinner aka PSA Modulator lol... Easily comes off... Flat head screw .... Literally 30 seconds and it's totally off... IF I am ever able to go wheeling I will be taking it off for safety sake

On road it helps a lot ... Very pleased with the results... My ps went out a few days ago... It doesn't hold fluid anymore and snake oil doesn't work as well lol

I'll be needing to find a 82 mini truck 4wd steering gear soon LOL

Had this bracket that I made and was using it with another attached bracket... Changed the design a tad and made it one piece... This is for using a HT interior light on a FST bow

I had a few minutes to work on the truck... You can get a lot of undisturbed work done at night :)

Just so happens my families down time is the perfect time to get stuff done... Laundry (because I am going for father of the year award) got done ... Then ... Wallah I can work on the truck

Replaced the aftermarket steering stabilizer with a replacement cylinder (still need to replace the item one) and rotated the tires ... Done at 2am... Just in time for a few hrs of sleep LOL

Sorry no during pics .... Only after in daylight pics :)

I will get to display the wonderfulness of my new steering stabilizer at an upcoming car show :)

Cars on display at the Albany VA Medical Center

car show to honor our vets... I will be there with the 'Hudson Mohawk Young Marines' as well as with my ol'rusty 74' FJ40 and 54' Bradley trailer

anybody in the area.... stop down and/or also enter your truck ... come see the splendor and awesomeness of the clean stabilizer while it still lasts :)

Johnny, is that factory white 033? Purtty.

Wonder what it cost to ship that thing from Antarctica?

Have a camp weekend coming up and I'll be using the trailer more this year... Time for the yearly check up... Glad I did looks like water got into this hub ... Race and bearing looked surprisingly good ... New mp grease to repack

Had the new tires I got last year? Finally put on ... The old dry rot tires were from 70's era ... Trailer is now ready to go for a new year of work :)

Haven't been on mud much ... Life is in the way of fun

Finally found the time to do the aluminum rear doors... Approx 2 hrs later... Done!

Just don't touch ... Wet paint for awhile ... Oil based :)

My truck has an unnatural petroleum friendship lol

Now the kids can get in and out without having to unlatch the spare

I was wondering what happened to you, haven't seen you around for a long while. Welcome back Johnny!
Nice work on the rear doors, I like it!

Been awhile since I've posted... Had a fellow mud/cruiser head send me a GREAT replacement to the zip tied line I had in there... I can't tell you just how happy that made me :) !!!

A short time before that I was driving to the Y to pick up the kids hen a guy stopped short in front of me... I didn't stop... Kinda swerved around him (just barely) and pulled in a dirt clearing

Blew out my front metal brake line

I had some nickle copper stuff already so I replaced the front axle line... Came out good.... However... I heard a pop in the rear when bleeding the brakes... Yep rear line blew out

You would thing these steel lines would last longer that 40 years :meh:

:)

So then I was replacing ALL my metal lines and the one rear rubber line

That rubber line really annoyed me ... I had replaced that 20 years ago with bradded stainless steel... Wellllll... The ends are steel they rotted away lol

Looks good now

Had to bang out the lines ... And it wasn't an easy time to have the DD down for even a day... The new battery line lifted my spirits ... Thanks again to MUD!

Our members are great!

You know, that line coming off your brake MC looks suspiciously like a moonshine setup:hmm:
