Hi everyone. I've been lurking around for quite a while, and finally have a worthy question! Does anyone know who in NWA might have the right press/tools to get some shafts out of my transfer case?

It's a '78 FJ40 that started leaking from the rear main, and just before I was about to swap that out, the transfer started making some wicked noises. It's torn out and apart - I think the idler shaft shot craps.

Anyway, I don't have the equipment needed to complete the teardown/assembly. Any info out there?

Thanks, Lee

Any mechanic shop or machine shop should be able to press it for you.

I could do it, but i'm 4hrs away...

Maybe Ice Cube or Dr Dre. They were both members of NWA. (sorry I couldn't help it...)

Thanks. I managed to get it apart with a couple of c clamps and a block of wood. Now getting it back together may require some higher tech items....

You might give Bohannons auto service a call.... He works on cruisers up in Bentonville south of square on Main st I think
