This September, my local club here (Sunset Wheelers) have organized a barge trip up Powell Lake to explore the Daniels Valley. We have filled the barge with 13 vehicles and it will be a leisurely ~1.5 hour cruise up to the very head of the lake and disembarking at the logging camp there.
From there we will be exploring roads and trails up the 3 accessible valleys over 4 days I believe it is., then barge back down again. It's a mountain climbers paradise up there, although I don't think any of us going are quite that adventurous.
Hopefully the weather is decent then, it can get pretty nasty up there I've been told by my logger friends who have worked up there.
