Potential Jeep Cherokee Value?

I realize I actually said the word "Jeep" in a Land Cruiser forum, but here's the deal... My Dad died a couple of months ago and his wife is trying to downsize and get rid of some stuff. She has a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport (4WD) that she would like to sell. She has owned it for probably 20-22 years. It is literally a time capsule. It looks like new. 117k miles, pristine interior, 5-speed. Everything works.

She has no idea what it's worth, so I am trying to help her out some. NADA/KBB show a value of around $2k or so. A quick check of AutoTrader listings show people asking around $3k on wore out Cherokees of the same vintage with 2X the miles. Any opinions on what she could reasonably sell this for? It's in Kingsport, BTW.

I would ask $4500 for it. Someone that appreciates the older Cherokees will be happy to pay that. I'm guessing it has the 4.0 I-6 which is a great engine. If it was a auto tranny I would buy it for my wife. She's always talking about how much she misses her old Cherokee. You would think someone who drives a newer Lexus RX wouldn't think about an old Jeep but she loved that thing. Some lady t-boned her doing 65 and totaled it but she came out without a scratch.

Thanks for the response. Another forum I am on estimated around $5k best case scenario, so maybe we'll start off around there and see what happens.
