I just wanted to let everyone know what has been happening in our life for about the last couple months. Olivia went to have her six year old checkup. We found she had high blood pressure which is rare in children that are in good health. So the investigation began to find out what could be the cause of the high blood pressure.
About three weeks ago we took her to Childrens hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. They diagnosed her with a congenital heart defect called Coarctation of the aorta. This is a restriction in her aorta that feeds her lower torso and organs, which in turn causes high blood pressure on the top of her body and low to normal blood pressure on the lower portion of her body. Had this gone unnoticed there would have been more valve damage as well as other irreparable damage. The great news is they should be able to correct this condition and we expect a full recovery.

Below is a link describing Coarction:

Long story short, she is having surgery to correct this condition on March 8th , in Little Rock.
I just ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
The hospital said she should be in the hospital anywhere from four to ten days then two weeks at home.

She is in our prayers. Let us no if you need anything.

Hey Justin. Eric Jobe here from TAC in KC. Our prayers are with your daughter and family. Jamie and I should have a new baby Boy the 28th of this month:steer: . New wheeler:cheers:

Eric that is awesome to hear! You'll be happy to hear my girl is 98%, just a little soreness when sitting up. Pretty amazing considering the size of her incision. JT

Kids are usually tougher than parents, thank God
